I always fished.
Born and raised in Omagh, Northern Ireland. Used to spend weekends
at the local rivers with my brothers fishing for wily trout with worms
we got from the garden with soapy water. Spinning too, bubble and fly.
An occasional trip to the sea to fish off the rocks and a bit off
coarse fishing too mostly at a Lough close to where we lived
Went to college in Manchester, England for audio engineering and
after that to New York at a loose end in 1995. I worked in the sound
business for a while but ended up in construction for the last 13+
years. I'm a carpenter and a couple of years ago got licensed as a Home
Inspector.
Now settled in Westchester County, in the Croton Watershed Area. I
now mostly fly fish the local rivers and streams, some spinning and fish the reservoirs by boat a too. Once in a
while saltwater. Will travel for fish!!!
I use 8 foot 5/6 weight fly rods for local rivers and have a great little 6 foot 2 weight for the tighter streams. I also use 8 wt fly gear for "the big one'
